A Time For Change in Steger's Mayoral Race

My affiliation and subsequent qualifications for the April 7, 2009, ballot as the Independent candidate has been predicated in my deeply rooted history as wife and, a husband who is a long standing member and supporter of UAW Local 588, mother, employee and life long resident in the city of Steger.

I feel it is important to afford Steger voters a choice in this years mayoral election given the two party system that has continued to hinder the economic growth in the City of Steger. As your candidate I am dedicated to providing an agenda that would include initiatives that would provide focus on affordable child care services, job training and an overall revitalization of Steger's economy.

Moreover, I, as Mayor, would seek to secure additional resources for increasing public safety and for reducing crime in the City.

If I am elected Mayor of Steger, my vision over the next four years is a complete revitalization of the City's economic infrastructure. As part of the plan, I wil create a greater climate for attracting businesses and for growing existing businesses by providing the necessary foundations, resources and initiatives for promoting private/public partnerships and investments for developing the City of Steger.

I also pledge to create strategic plan to restore the legion of abandoned properties in order to place them back on the City's afforodable tax rolls and will seek to provide economically sound and more importantly affordable housing for Steger residents.

The greatest challenge Steger residents currently face is that the Mayor has had a lengthly time in office, to institute an innovative revitalization program for the residents' of Steger.

However, it is clear that the 9th time in office with this current administration, is not the charm for the residents of Steger.

For the first time in 34 years, you, the residents of Steger, can vote with your voice on April 7th, by voting out politics as usual and voting in change that will no doubt, benefit our future to grow.

  1. Miranda has placed a sign in my yard without my permission. Is this "do what we want" politics?
